Social Services staff participated in the Piedmont Triad’s Elder Abuse Awareness Walk, Stroll and Roll, hosted by the Piedmont Triad Regional Council Area Agency on Aging, at Triad Park in Kernersville on June 18.
This was the first walk held after a 2-year break due to COVID. The event was a tremendous success with a crowd of more than 500 people from across the region in attendance. Everyone had a wonderful time walking, learning about elder abuse and services for older adults, listening to music, gathering resource information, participating in health screenings and a Veterans recognition, taking photos in the photo booth and making elder abuse awareness fans at the Creative Aging NC art station.
