August Employee of the Month

The individual selected as EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH for August 2009 has been employed with the Sheriff’s Office since December 3rd, 2007. Congratulations to Mr. Craig Smith!

Mr. Smith is currently assigned to the Day Reporting Center after being transferred from the Forsyth County Detention Center in February of 2009. Since becoming a member of the Day Reporting Center Team, he has been assigned various tasks and has proven himself to be up to the challenge.

He is presently assigned to the child support clients who are referred to the Day Reporting Center for employment assistance. He researches the internet and classified ads daily in search of employment opportunities and assists his clients with completing applications, writing resumes and preparing for oral interviews.

During his short time in this position, he has formed a great rapport with the clients and enjoys his work. Within the last two months he has been instrumental in assisting 30 clients in obtaining employment. Due to his efforts, he has given DRC clients hope and confidence in a very hard job market.

Based on his positive attitude toward his job and his abilities to perform his duties on a professional level, the Selection Board proudly names Mr. Craig Smith as Employee of the Month for August 2009.
