Detention Officer Desi McDuffie Retires

Detention Officer McDuffie began his career with the FCSO in 2000 as a Property Clerk assigned to Detention Security Services. In 2001, he transferred to the position of Detention Officer and attained Private First Class/Senior Floor Officer rank. Detention Officer McDuffie has received several commendations throughout his career to include a Field Training Officer service pin and Detention Staff Member of the Month in June of 2011.

Detention Officer McDuffie worked for the City of Winston-Salem for 12 years as an equipment operator. He retires with over 25 years of service to Winston-Salem and Forsyth County citizens.

McDuffie’s bright smile and positive attitude will be missed and we wish him the best in all future endeavors.
