On March 30th, the Forth County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call regarding a gun being found by a child. The responding officer discovered Corey Blue, an 11 year old, found a loaded revolver while playing in the woods behind the family’s apartment building. Corey’s mother took possession of the gun until law enforcement arrived.
On April 15th, Corey was recognized by Sheriff William T. Schatzman for his exemplary citizenship in front of his classmates. Corey is commended for making the right decision by immediately notifying an adult of the found gun. His actions kept others from danger and showed responsible thinking.
