During the month of December 2014, Deputy Luffman was involved in two separate and intense incidents that involved suspects running from law enforcement.
On December 4th, NC Highway Patrol requested assistance with a vehicle chase where the suspect had abandoned his vehicle ran into a wooded area. The suspect was wanted for home burglaries and was possibly armed with a weapon. Deputy Luffman arrived on scene and immediately began looking for the suspect. A short time later, Deputy Luffman saw the suspect running down a hill. Deputy Luffman took cover behind a tree while the suspect unknowingly ran in his direction. Deputy Luffman successfully apprehended the suspect.
On December 19, Deputy Luffman assisted with an Order for Arrest. While attempting to serve the warrant, the suspect ran out of the back door of his residence. A perimeter was set up and Deputy Luffman found the suspect hiding in the woods and arrested the suspect without having any further issues of resisting arrest.
Deputy Luffman is a shining example of the professionalism and vigilance the FCSO strives to maintain in its effort to protect the citizens of Forsyth County.
