On Tuesday, August 2nd, twelve Forsyth County neighborhoods participated in National Night Out. Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office deputies shared a meal and fellowship with citizens. Members of the community had an opportunity to speak about concerns and deputies provided community safety information.
The theme of the evening was “see something, say something”, encouraging citizens to report suspicious activity. Deputies encouraged neighborhoods to work together to keep communication lines open and to watch out for one another.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes law enforcement-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. The safety of our communities depends on both law enforcement and the citizens they serve. National Night Out events enhance that cooperation.
