Captain Jeremy J. Rowley began his Law Enforcement career in 1993 as a Sworn Animal Control Officer. On August 2, 1999, he was promoted by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy Sheriff. Captain Rowley received several promotions throughout his career with his most recent promotion to Captain in 2019.
During his career, Captain Rowley received the Rufus Dalton Award, Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Medal of Honor, Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Purple Heart, National Sheriff’s Association Medal of Honor and Purple Heart, 25 years’ service commendation Bar, several letters of commendation and several letters of appreciation.
Captain Rowley served in the US Army, Military Police, E-4 Specialist from 1989 to 1992.
Throughout the course of his career, Captain Rowley served in various capacities within the Field Services Division, Professional Standards Division, and Investigative Services Division. At the time of his retirement, he was a Captain in the Professional Standards Division.
