Announcing Our Fall 2024 Forks on Friday Classes!

We are excited to announce our upcoming Forks on Friday classes for fall 2024!

Bring your lunch to enjoy while learning gardening skills at these classes on Fridays from 12:00 - 1:00 PM. These programs are presented by N.C. Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center, and the NC State Extension Master Gardener volunteers of Forsyth County.

Registration for each program will be available 2 weeks prior to the program date on our Eventbrite page, visit go.ncsu.edu/forsyth-eventbrite for details. If you need assistance with registration, call 336-703-2850.

Programs will be held in-person at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center, 1450 Fairchild Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.

Sept 13 - Top Piedmont Native Plant Picks
Learn the value of native, wildlife-friendly plants and hear descriptions of some of the most useful plants for the Piedmont region. This class will highlight plants featured in the fall plant sale coming up on Saturday, September 20 (see go.ncsu.edu/forsyth-emg-fall-sale for plant sale details).

October 4 - Bird-Friendly Gardening
Discover a variety of ways to support birds in your garden. This session highlights different plants and habitat features to support birds, with some information about bird identification and feeders.

November 1 - Plant Parenthood: How to Succeed with Houseplants
Yes, you can grow beautiful, healthy houseplants—if you choose wisely and pay attention to their modest needs. We’ll share some reliable selections and tips to help you keep them looking their best.
