Leslie Rose Named Cooperative Extension Director, Forsyth County Center

Effective July 1, 2025, Leslie Rose will assume the role of Cooperative Extension Director, Forsyth County Center.

With more than nine years of experience with Forsyth Cooperative Extension, Rose was selected following a competitive recruitment process to serve as the Center's Director.

"Leslie has a strong passion for the work of Cooperative Extension and a deep commitment to our community. Her expertise in horticulture and experience in program management position her as the ideal candidate to lead the Forsyth County Center", said Deputy County Manager and Health and Human Services Director Denise Price.

Rose earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Science in Horticulture from Virginia Tech. Rose most recently served in the role of Extension Horticulture Agent and Director of the Arboretum and Gardens at Tanglewood Park.

“I am eager to begin working as the County Extension Director at North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center,” said Rose. “I deeply appreciate the trust that has been placed in me as the new director. I am excited to work with our team here to continue helping our Forsyth County community transform science into everyday solutions that improve their lives.”
