Forsyth County citizens have several convenient recycling options that are available
to everyone in the county.
If you live inside of one of the municipalities listed below just click on the name
below and you will be directed to their website for information pertaining to their
recycling program.
Forsyth County has three Recycling Convenience Centers that are available for use
by all residents of the county free of charge. The location of each facility, street
directions and other information including acceptable materials is listed below.

Recyclable Materials Accepted at the Forsyth County Convenience
Centers:
- Corrugated Cardboard
- Chipboard (e.g., cereal boxes, cracker boxes, etc.)
- Magazines, Newspapers, Office Paper, Telephone Books, Catalogs
- Aluminum Beverage Cans
- Steel, Tin and Bi-metal Food and Beverage Cans
- Glass Food and Beverage Containers (e.g., bottles, jars, etc.)
- All Plastics Numbered 1, 2 and 5
All recyclable materials must be clean and free of contaminants. Glass, metal, and
plastic food containers must be rinsed clean. Cardboard food containers must be
free of grease and other residue.
Materials not accepted at the Forsyth County Convenience Centers:
- NO - aluminum foil, pie tins, or scraps
- NO - ceramics, dishes, drinking glasses, light bulbs, mirrors, Pyrex, window glass,
or any glass that is not a container
- NO - bottle caps or tops; antifreeze, pesticide, motor oil or other hazardous material
containers; plastic bottles that are not marked with the recyclable symbol; plastic
bags of any type; plastic wrap, or Styrofoam
- NO - paint cans
- NO - Styrofoam egg cartons
- NO - books, binders, or notebooks
- NO - Garden Hoses, plastic tubing, or automotive hoses

All Citizens of Forsyth County are encouraged to use 3RC Household Hazardous Waste
and Electronic Waste Recycling Center for materials such as paint, pesticides, household
chemicals, automotive fluids and electronics.
