Air quality levels remain in the YELLOW range as southwest winds push warmer air into the Triad and help push high temperatures into the mid to upper 80s. A low will develop in the southern plains and begin to slide eastward. It will track to our north but drag its cold front through the region Thursday. Shower activity could begin as early as Wednesday afternoon but chances will increase for Thursday and Friday. This front will slow down as it weakens but most of the rain should move out by Saturday afternoon. AQI levels should remain in the YELLOW range through Friday but slowly improve into the weekend.
