Synopsis and Discussion

Air quality levels are in the lower YELLOW range as skies continue to be mostly cloudy and temperatures push into the upper 70s. As the trajectories have continued to be from the south, a more maritime flow has made its way into the Triad. This is starting to help improve AQI readings so expect AQI levels to just fall into the upper GREEN range. More of a clean out should occur once the cold front slides through the state Saturday. The new air mass behind the front will feed cleaner air into the Triad for the weekend. Expect AQI levels to remain in the GREEN range Saturday and Sunday. (Bodenhamer)
