On January 6, 2011, the FCSO received a phone call from a citizen who advised he had been travelling with family when his car broke down and were stranded. Deputy Mitchell and Deputy Mifflin assisted the family by the roadside.

The citizen reported to the FCSO that Deputy Mitchell and Deputy Mifflin provided him with money for bus fare to get his family home after his car could not be restarted. He was very appreciative of the assistance and wanted to convey his gratitude and to advise supervisors of their actions.

Deputy Mitchell and Deputy Mifflin’s actions went above and beyond their normal job duties and provided a shining example to the citizens of Forsyth County.
