During the month of July, Tony and Sean worked to successfully implement VMWare for the Sheriff’s Office. The implementation of this system required a week’s worth of work including multiple after-hour conversion sessions.
There was minimal downtime for end-users during prime business hours and the move to VMWare has given many Sheriff’s Office applications increased redundancy and data protection. Additionally, eight physical servers have been completely powered-down, replaced by three physical servers running VMWare, reducing electricity and cooling costs. Future servers can also be added to the VMWare cluster instead of requiring physical servers.
