Detention Officer B. Gilroy has been employed with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office since August of 2012. On October 22, 2012 Detention Officer Gilroy was informed of an inmate having new tattoos on his hands and arms. Detention Officer Gilroy conducted a cell search and although no tattoo instrument was found several items that could have been used in making a tattoo were found. He also was credited with discovering and seizing contraband during frisk searches.
Detention Officer Gilroy always shows great attention to detail in the performance of his job and sets a great example for other officers to follow. The control of contraband is a very serious policy in the jail, and Detention Officer Gilroy is applauded for his actions.
