During the month of April, the FCSO conducted rapid deployment/active shooter training for sworn officers. This training required the use of volunteers to participate in the training, as well as assisting with the set up of scenes. This was a voluntary assignment and several of the civilians participated on more than one occasion. The training was very intense and took them out of their comfort zones, however they all excelled in the training.

Each civilian was put in a situation of chaos with gun fire, screaming, and smoke inhalation. These employees include Pressley, Wiles, Harrington, Mills, Hernandez, Knight, Granger, Reynolds, Coburn, Blackmon, Quintana-Saez, Devlin, Sykes, Sloop, Jones, Chatham and Britt.
