The FCSO Sex Offender Registry Unit encountered an unexpected vacant position in December 2013. Senior Office Assistant Debbie Mathis has gone above and beyond with adjusting to her new workload, as well as learning the required duties the vacant position entails.
Ms. Mathis is responsible for fingerprinting and photographing offenders, updating local and state systems with new data obtained, as well as filing all data/documents. She is always professional when assisting offenders with address changes as well as assisting with verifying addresses.
Ms. Mathis has learned the meticulous duties of validating the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) National Sex Offender Registry. This monthly process involves numerous steps of a verification process to ensure local and national sex offender information is accurate and complete.
Ms. Mathis is currently a Senior Office Assistant in the Sex Offender Registry Unit. She has been with the FCSO since 2001. Ms. Mathis is doing an excellent job while maintaining a positive attitude and would be an excellent candidate for Staff Member of the Month.
