On January 22nd 2014, Corporal C. Fleming with the Davie County Sheriff’s Office was injured in the line of duty and transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Deputy K. Gray of the FCSO responded to the hospital to provide assistance his family and members of the Davie County Sheriff’s Office.

In March, Sheriff Andy Stokes sent a letter of appreciation expressing his gratitude for the assistance and comfort Deputy Gray provided. Sheriff Stokes described Deputy Gray as “compassionate, considerate, and a caring person” citing specific acts of kindness. He went on to state that “out of all the individuals and personnel we encountered, Deputy Gray was by far the most professional and charitable and we will not forget her kindness.”
