On April 11th, the Field Services Division responded to a call for service involving a man attempting to commit suicide. Upon arrival, it was determined that he had left the area on foot in an unknown direction and was in need of medical attention.
Deputies from various divisions responded, as well as K-9 personnel from the Triad Bloodhounds. Deputy Apperson from the Civil Section responded to call and was successful in locating the person near Davidson County. He had numerous self-inflicted cuts to his arms and legs.
Deputy Apperson safely secured the subject, who was then transported to the hospital for treatment. Deputy Apperson is commended for his consistent display of teamwork and initiative to assist others.
