Deputy R. Dowell retired from the FCSO in 2012 and returned to serve citizens of Forsyth County a part-time employee assigned to the Court Security Section. During the month of August, several court dates had between 300 and 400 cases on the court docket. Deputy Dowell planned a process on those heavy docket days to assist the District Attorney and Judge expedite certain groups of defendants in and out of proceedings in a very timely manner. He allowed only defendants inside the courtroom to complete cases to minimize courtroom traffic. Deputy Dowell’s process worked very well and allowed court to adjourn at about the same time as days with a much lower docket.

Deputy Dowell is very committed to the Court Security Section. He maintains order in the court and his procedures have been adopted by fellow staff members. Deputy Dowell always stays late to accommodate staffing needs and is an invaluable staff member of the Court Security Section.
