On June 22, 2015, Deputy Rae received a call regarding a strong odor of marijuana coming from an apartment complex. Working with limited information, Deputy Rae was able to located the apartment and spoke with the tenant. After speaking with the tenant, Deputy Rae requested consent to search and was denied. Assisting units on scene placed the apartment on “lock down” which allowed Deputy Rae time to apply for a search warrant.
Upon execution of the search warrant, Deputy Rae seized over $14,000 of cocaine, $4,000 of heroin and other small amounts of narcotics. Deputy Rae’s persistence and investigative skills guided him to completion of a thorough investigation. His persistence and dedication led to the seizure of considerable amounts of narcotics.
