During the month of May, the FCSO deployed over 40 body worn cameras to deputies in different divisions. During the week of May 23rd there were 6 different training sessions organized by Lt. Loveland for the successful deployment of these cameras. There were 2 representatives on-site from Arizona who worked for Taser to assist us in the training of and deployment of these cameras. One of the representatives is a retired police officer from the Phoenix metro area and has worked with Taser for 6 years. During a debriefing at the end of the week he commented on how he has traveled all over the United States training and assisting agencies with BWC deployment. He said in those 6 years he has never seen an agency as organized and prepared for the deployment as ours was. Because of Lt. Loveland’s organization and preparedness we were able to successfully deploy these cameras with minimal issues. The type of work ethic Lt. Loveland demonstrates on a daily basis is reflective of a dedicated, goal-oriented employee who truly wants to see the agency succeed.
