On October 28th, Detention Officer Shelton found, in an inmate's possession, contraband which appeared to be a controlled substance. The contraband was returned to the arresting officer, who tested and confirmed, they were illegal drugs. The inmate received additional charges for bringing the illegal drugs into the facility. By conducting thorough and systematic searches of inmates entering the facility, Detention Officer Shelton prevented the introduction of illegal substances. The control of contraband is a very serious policy at the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center.

Detention Officer Shelton has been employed at the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office since August 2005.
