On December 3, 2017, while conducting an inspection of one of the LEDC housing units, Officer Steel discovered a number of pills of an unknown medication in an occupied cell. As a result of Officer Steel's keen observation and due diligence, the unauthorized medication was removed from the facility. His prompt response to this situation ensured the safety of other inmates and the Law Enforcement Detention Center.

Officer Steel is an asset to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.
