Sheriff’s Accreditation Specialist K. Long began her career with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office in October 2018 and was new to the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) process. Since then, Ms. Long attended CALEA training, interacted with staff in all areas within the agency, consulted with outside accreditation specialists and worked tirelessly reviewing and revising policies and standards proofs in preparation for the annual CALEA assessment that occurred on August 15, 2019. As a result of Ms. Long’s commitment, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office was found to be in compliance with CALEA and the agency is better prepared for re-accreditation that will occur during the next annual review. Ms. Long’s determination and dedication during this endeavor are proudly recognized by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.
