On August 25, 2019, an inmate at the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center became unresponsive and barely breathing. Officer Hawks went into action by administering chest compressions while Officer Green retrieved and connected the Automated External Defibrillator. Both officers then began to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, which resulted in the inmate’s pulse being restored. Officer Hawks and Officer Green implemented the training they received without hesitation and saved a life by applying what they had learned.
