On November 9th and 10th, Deputies C. Wyer, N. Adkins, Z. Robbins and Sergeant A. Gaylor encountered a mother and three children living in their vehicle after fleeing an abusive relationship. They took it upon themselves to unselfishly provide the family with over $150.00 in cash and groceries along with renting a room for the family for two nights until they were able to get in contact with a program that could provide assistance with housing, food, and job placement. Their combined compassion and willingness to help this family during their time of need reflects highly upon the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and shows their genuine concern for the wellbeing of the citizens they serve. Humanitarian acts like these are an excellent example of what it truly means to “protect and serve”.
