On March 26, 2021, while conducting a security round inside a housing unit of the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center, Officer Angle observed a resident attempting to hang himself. The resident had tied a sheet around his neck and attached the other end to a desk inside the cell. Officer Angle made entry into the cell, removed the sheet, and secured the resident to prevent further injury. As a result of Officer Angle’s due diligence and action, medical personnel examined the resident and determined that he had no injuries. On March 27, 2021, while conducting a security round inside a housing unit of the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center, Officer Estes observed a resident attempting to harm himself by tying a shirt around his neck. Officer Estes made entry into the cell, removed the shirt, and secured the resident to prevent further injury. As a result of Officer Estes' due diligence and action, the resident survived the incident with minor injuries.
