September Detention Staff Member of the Month

Corporal J. Inman has been employed with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office for eight years and is currently the Intake Supervisor at the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center. On the night of September 29, 2023, Corporal J. Inman was walking past the holding cells in Intake and observed an inmate fall forward, face first. He called for medical personnel immediately. The inmate was bleeding from his mouth and was not responsive to verbal stimuli. He was unresponsive, so Corporal Inman applied a sternum rub, which was ineffective. Once medical staff began to arrive, Corporal Inman administered one dose of Narcan. The inmate became responsive and was given oxygen until EMS arrived. Corporal Inman’s quick actions and medical assessment of the situation may have saved a life. He is an assertive leader who deserves to be acknowledged and is being commended as the Detention Officer of the Month for September 2023.
