On November 20, 2023, Deputy Z. Robbins from the Criminal Investigations Section demonstrated exemplary dedication and skill while handling a stalking case that had far-reaching implications for public safety. Upon being assigned to the case, Deputy Robbins swiftly took action to address the immediate threat posed by the offender. Through collaboration with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) Crime Analysts, he successfully identified and apprehended the individual within hours of learning about the initial incident at a Walmart Supercenter. However, Investigator Robbins did not stop there. Realizing the potential scope of the offender's actions, he proactively sought additional information and worked tirelessly to uncover further instances of victimization. His strategic approach included the preparation of multiple press releases and encouraging potential victims to come forward. This initiative resulted in more than five additional victims reporting similar incidents, expanding the investigation's reach. Deputy Robbins also engaged FCSO Crime Analysts to conduct a comprehensive review, identifying even more victims who had not yet come forward. Over the next month, Investigator Robbins meticulously examined hours of body camera footage, in-store surveillance footage, and a vast array of digital evidence. Through his dedication, he compiled irrefutable evidence against the offender, significantly increasing the likelihood of a successful prosecution in this complex, multi-jurisdictional case. Additionally, Deputy Robbins collaborated seamlessly with the District Attorney's office, ensuring that the offender faced the maximum allowable punishment to safeguard the community from further victimization. This particular case exemplifies the outstanding work that Deputy Robbins and the Criminal Investigations Section consistently perform. Notably, one of the victims, moved by the thorough and compassionate investigation, personally reached out to express her gratitude to the Sheriff's Executive Administrative Assistant. Deputy Robbins demonstrated unwavering commitment to justice and outstanding investigative skills which resulted in a positive outcome for the community.
