Deputy W. Birch: Deputy W. Birch has consistently demonstrated exceptional teamwork and leadership within the Transportation Section of the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office (FCSO). His efforts have significantly contributed to the smooth and efficient operation of the unit. Deputy Birch often steps up to handle additional responsibilities without being prompted, which helps to minimize the workload on his peers. His selflessness in taking on extra duties allows his peers to focus on their primary responsibilities, enhancing overall unit productivity. His ability to lead by example and his dedication to teamwork ensures that the unit functions seamlessly.
Officer M. Correll: Officer M. Correll with the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center has consistently demonstrated exceptional punctuality, reliability, and a positive attitude throughout the month of May 2024. Officer Correll arrives to work on time, fully prepared to start his duties. Demonstrating a commitment to personal and professional development, Officer Correll is always willing to train in new areas and acquire new skills. His contributions exemplify the core values of our agency and set a high standard for his peers.
Officer B. Nelson: Officer B. Nelson has demonstrated extraordinary dedication and commitment to the agency by consistently assisting the Classification department at the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center during his days off over the past few months. Officer Nelson regularly sacrifices his days off to help the Classification Department, showcasing his commitment to the agency. His strong work ethic is evident through his consistent efforts to improve his knowledge of tasks and support the department effectively. Officer Nelson’s contributions have been invaluable in alleviating the staffing shortage in the Classification department. His support has ensured the department continues to function smoothly, and his dedication has positively influenced team morale and operational efficiency.
Officer N. Rhodes and Officer K. Kirkland: On the night of May 16, 2024, Officer N. Rhodes was assigned to a housing unit with a trainee. His keen attention to detail and swift response were pivotal in saving a resident’s life during a suicide attempt. Officer Rhodes promptly communicated the situation over his radio, ensuring an immediate and effective response. Officer K. Kirkland, a member of the Special Response Team, was the first to respond to the call. Working together, Officers Rhodes and Kirkland entered the cell, halted the self-injurious behavior, and secured the resident, preventing further harm. Their prompt and decisive actions validate their dedication to duty and is also a testament to their training, teamwork, and ability to handle high-pressure situations.
