Ms. K. Burkett joined the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Fiscal Management Team in March 2024 and in a very short time, her addition has already contributed very significantly in the Fiscal Management Section’s ability to successfully complete an ever-increasing volume of purchase orders, invoice payments, limited contracts, and formal contracts. This has been especially true at the financial year end and new financial year start up, which involves a spike of purchases, invoices and contracts renewals that must be completed in a timely fashion in order to support operations and avoid any interruption in payments and services. Ms. Burkett has demonstrated excellent communication skills, teamwork, initiative, and persistence in taking on these assignments. Particularly, this high volume of contracts requires persistence to follow up with each vendor to obtain all of the necessary documentation and signatures to complete them in a timely manner. In addition, Ms. Kloy displays a very positive attitude and attention to customer service with her associates and vendors. Her efforts have been integral and critical in allowing the Fiscal Management Team to successfully complete a very high volume of required tasks. A sincere thanks to Ms. Kloy for her time, effort, and assistance.
Mr. S. Eckart. Senior Office Assistant, Mr. S. Eckart, is being highlighted for the month of July. Between the months of May 2024 and August 2024, Mr. Eckart has exhibited extraordinary teamwork, dedication, and initiative within the Sex Offender Registration Unit at the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office. In May 2024, unforeseen circumstances left Mr. Eckart as the sole Senior Office Assistant for the unit. Despite the challenges of meeting state-mandated deadlines and managing an influx of new registrants moving to Forsyth County or being released from prison, Mr. Eckart stepped up without complaint. Often working independently, he successfully met all deadlines and ensured the accurate documentation of registered offenders. His commitment extended beyond his own responsibilities, as he frequently asked his colleagues if they needed assistance despite his own heavy workload. During this time, Mr. Eckart did not request any time off and even came to work when not feeling well—demonstrating remarkable commitment when others might have taken leave. He worked long hours to ensure all obligations were fulfilled, displaying an unwavering dedication to the sheriff's office, his team, and the citizens of Forsyth County. Mr. Eckart has continuously gone above and beyond the call of duty, embodying the values of this agency as more than just an employee, but as part of a family. His outstanding efforts have definitely not gone unnoticed and are much appreciated.
