Judicial Services Division. The exceptional work carried out by both the Civil and Court Security Sections of the Judicial Services Division is nothing short of remarkable, especially given the persistent staffing shortages they face. Despite the ongoing need for additional personnel within the Court Security Section, this team continues to manage an overwhelming workload, ensuring the safety and security of every court while handling the high volume of inmates required for court appearances. Even under these challenging conditions, they consistently maintain a high level of professionalism, often stepping beyond their designated responsibilities to assist throughout the courthouse. The division has successfully navigated significant changes, including the addition of two Superior Court seats within the past 18 months, the introduction of two new Magistrate Courts, and the recent establishment of a Competency Court. Remarkably, all these additions have been managed without an increase in staffing. This success would not be possible without the unwavering support of the Civil Section. In addition to providing the necessary staffing to maintain court safety, the Civil Section efficiently handles an average of 600 to over 1,000 processes weekly. Their collaboration has been instrumental in keeping these statutorily required functions running smoothly. The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office could not be more proud of how this division has united to support each other and uphold the standards expected by the Sheriff’s Office. The dedication, teamwork, and commitment to excellence demonstrated by the Judicial Services Division make them truly deserving of this recognition.
