Lt. Moore, is being recognized as our Staff Member of the Month because of all the work he does within the community by going above and beyond on a weekly basis and ensuring the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office is the example for all other agencies in the area. Our office received an e-mail below from a co-worker. This e-mail speaks volumes of the love and respect that Lt. Moore has among his colleagues.
"I just wanted to send an email to praise Lt. Butch Moore! He is one of the hardest-working people in the agency and I feel like he does not get enough kudos for all that he does. A few weeks ago, our little friend Ian lost his aunt to an overdose and his guardian had to take in the son of the aunt. On the call, she mentioned that they needed food. I went to Lt. Moore to ask if he could point me to resources that may be able to help. Without question, he dropped what he was doing and went to get food for this family from the resources he had obtained and then drove it to her house. No questions asked. He even helped me get in touch with the Director of A Bed and a Book to get this little boy a bed at his new house. Working with Lt. Moore is seriously one of the biggest honors of my time here at the FCSO and I always know I can count on him to help. You could not have a better-fit human to be the Lieutenant over Community Outreach. He has the knowledge, experience, and most importantly the biggest heart I have ever encountered. Lt. Moore deserves more than the words that I can put into an email. It is truly an honor to work alongside him."
Lt. Moore, you set an example for your team to follow that plays a big role in the community engagement we currently see at the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office. For your work and dedication, the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office and the citizens of Forsyth County have built a relationship that will pay off dividends in years to come.
