Law Enforcement Detention Center

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Law Enforcement Detention Center is an adult maximum security 400,000 square feet detention facility housing male and female sentenced misdemeanant and pre­trial inmates. The facility is an eleven story twin tower structure containing 735 modular steel cells, and has a bed capacity of 1,016 inmates.

The Detention Center is located in downtown Winston-Salem, and bordered by Second Street on the South, Third Street on the North, Church Street on the West, and Chestnut Street on the East.
